NY-based Retail Team Inks Long-term Lease as Exclusive Agent for Popular Shoe Brand
SHORT HILLS, N.J., June 14, 2019 – Schutz, the popular Brazilian shoe brand, has opened a new store at The Mall at Short Hills in Short Hills, announced Cushman & Wakefield. The commercial real estate services firm’s Manhattan-based retail team – headed by Laura Pomerantz, Betty Ende and Heather Reihs Keller – represents Schutz exclusively in North America and arranged the 1,800-square-foot, long-term lease.
Known for its mix of trendy heels, sexy stilettos, fashion-forward boots, and of-the-moment styles, Schutz is located on the second floor of the mall, which is owned by the Taubman Company. “We were so happy that the Pomerantz Team brought Schutz to The Mall at Short Hills, and we welcome this contemporary, international tenant,” said Marla Sokol, director of luxury leasing for Taubman.
Since debuting in 1995, Schutz has become a go-to for sophisticated footwear with playful, double-take-worthy details. Its shoe design runs from sexy to chic, and the brand has a reputation of selling to cross generational customers with style and elegance.
