Christmas Tree Shops Opens at Somerset Shopping Center
The Landmark 214,000-Square-foot Levin-Managed Property is Now at 100% Occupancy

BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Feb. 3, 2010 - Christmas Tree Shops has opened its latest store, occupying 28,750 square feet at Somerset Shopping Center. The 214,000-square-foot center, leased and managed by Levin Management Corporation, is now at 100% occupancy.

Christmas Tree Shops, a division of Bed Bath & Beyond, joins a roster of anchor tenants that includes Barnes & Noble, The Gap, Modell's, Pier 1 Imports, and Eastern Mountain Sports. The lease transaction, arranged by Ethan Goldsmith of Levin Management, was announced in November.

"Having Christmas Tree Shops choose to take over the large vacancy left by the bankruptcy of Linens N Things is a great compliment to Somerset Shopping Center," said Matthew K. Harding, President and COO of Levin Management. In this economic climate, there are many other properties they could have chosen, including a vacant former Circuit City next door."

"And because Christmas Tree Shops have earned a very large and loyal following," Harding continued, "we know they will make a major contribution to the ongoing success of this excellent shopping center."

Located at the intersection of U.S. 202/206 and State Hwy. 28 in Central New Jersey's affluent Somerset County, Somerset Shopping Center is one of the oldest and strongest open-air retail properties in the state. The center has been substantially repositioned by Levin Management, and besides its anchors lists Lane Bryant, Dress Barn, Rite-Aid, Hallmark Cards, FYE, Annie Sez, TGI Friday's, and Men's Wearhouse among its regional and national tenants.

Somerset Shopping Center's five-mile population is nearly 112,000, with an average household income of $118,490 and a median household income of $90,370. U.S. Route 22, I-287 and I-78 are all nearby, and the daily traffic count is more than 100,000 cars.

Levin currently maintains a growing portfolio of more than 80 diverse retail properties totaling 12.5 million square feet. Properties range from downtown stores to lifestyle centers, and from neighborhood and community centers to power centers in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina. Levin offers a full range of services for its clients including leasing, property management, accounting, construction management, marketing and risk management.
