History and Significance

Marketlogics evolved out of the market research division of Builder Marketing Services Inc. (BMS). Founded in 1996, BMS is a full-service new-home marketing and sales company covering major markets throughout the Northeast. BMS offers diversified services to assist new-home builders and developers in all areas of community planning, target marketing, merchandising management and sales. This in-depth understanding of every facet of the real estate marketplace gives Marketlogics its competitive edge, allowing the firm to achieve outstanding results for varied clients. John D. Sims

Sims began his real estate career working with builders and developers, selling land, handling new home sales and developing market research. Prior to founding BMS in 1996, he was the founder of the New Homes & Land division of one of the nation’s major real estate companies where he represented builders of all sizes, and was responsible for more than $2 billion in new home sales.

A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a bachelor’s degree in business and political science, Sims earned the MIRM (Master in Residential Marketing) designation, and is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, the National Sales and Marketing Council, the New Jersey Builders Association, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Community Builders Association. He is among the first real estate professionals to earn the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation and is a member of the National Association of Realtors and New Jersey Association of Realtors. He has completed the MAI appraisal course, signifying his expertise in the valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial, residential and other property types.

In addition, Sims is a founding trustee of the Builder Marketing Society, a respected international trade organization, where he currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the Board of Governors. He also has served as a judge for the NAHB “Nationals” and for many local and state builder-level awards programs.

Michael A. Kehl

Michael Kehl’s experience as an executive in the real estate and home building industries began in Colorado, where he worked his way up to President of Carmel Homes, one of Denver’s top builders in the 1980s. He specializes in comprehensive market strategies that include market research, product planning, budgets, corporate strategic planning, outreach programs and selling strategies. He has an outstanding track record for creating market-driven products that stand out against the competition.  Prior to joining BMS, Kehl served as vice-president of marketing and sales for top home building industry leaders such as Pulte Homes and Ryland Homes. He also has extensive executive experience with top private home builders, such as Baker Residential. Michael has held a real estate broker’s license in several states and is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, The New Jersey Association of Homebuilders, the Builder Marketing Society, the Urban Land Institute, the New Jersey Apartment Association and the Pennsylvania Apartment Association. Michael is also an accomplished award-winning architectural photographer.

John Lewis has more than 30 years of sales, marketing and market research experience in the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania market places. John began in residential construction and transitioned into new-home sales, marketing and market research. In John’s industry involvement, he has worked with every product type, ranging from active adult and luxury single-family homes to move-up properties, townhomes/condominiums, mid- and high-rise buildings, rental properties and the condominium conversion of rental apartments. John is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, The New Jersey Association of Homebuilders, the National Association of Realtors, New Jersey Association of Realtors, the Builder Marketing Society, the Urban Land Institute, the New Jersey Apartment Association and the Pennsylvania Apartment Association.
