Inserra Supermarkets donates to Tackle Kids Cancer

HACKENSACK, N.J., Dec. 12, 2016Members of the Inserra Supermarkets team presented a check to leadership at the Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack University Medical Center for more than $21,000 for the Tackle Kids Cancer initiative. Tackle Kids Cancer supports the Children’s Cancer Institute at HackensackUMC with donations benefitting the essential clinical care, unique support services and groundbreaking cancer research needed to find a cure for pediatric cancer.

Established in 1954 by Patsy Inserra as a privately-held family business, Inserra Supermarkets remains true to its roots as a family-owned grocery chain dedicated to giving back to the community. Under the leadership of Lawrence Inserra, Jr., chairman and CEO of Inserra Supermarkets, the company is making an impact at local and national levels through a vast range of charitable endeavors, including its commitment to HackensackUMC’s Tackle Kids Cancer.
