Video Game Retailer Occupies 1,450 Square Feet

HACKENSACK, N.J., Mar. 17, 2015 – Multichannel video game retailer GameStop has renewed its 1,450-square-foot lease at Summit Plaza in Hackensack. The 100,000-square-foot shopping center is owned and managed by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.

The transaction was negotiated in-house by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.

GameStop has been a tenant at Summit Plaza since 1999, according to Jerry L. Barta, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ vice-president/director of leasing and marketing. “We are pleased to continue our long-standing business relationship with GameStop,” said Barta. “Both national and local retailers thrive at Summit Plaza due to the center’s vibrant co-tenancy and strong demographics. We wish GameStop many more years of continued business success at Summit Plaza.”

Headquartered in Grapevine, Texas, GameStop Corp. is a global, multichannel video game, consumer electronics and wireless services retailer. GameStop currently operates more than 6,600 stores worldwide.

Located at 370-380 West Pleasantview Ave. at the intersection of Route 17, Summit and West Pleasantview avenues, Summit Plaza is anchored by a 62,000-square-foot Super Stop & Shop. The center’s mix of nationally recognized retail and service tenants includes Harmon Cosmetics, GNC, Payless ShoeSource, RadioShack, Dress Barn, The UPS Store and Blimpie, as well as typical neighborhood services such as a dry cleaner and a pizzeria.

Three new Summit Plaza tenants – martial arts studio United Tae Kwon Do Center, Great Expressions Dental Centers and fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant Juicy Platters – further enhance the family-friendly nature of this premier Bergen County shopping environment.

Summit Plaza is located in the heart of Route 17’s retail corridor near Routes 4, 46 and 80, and surrounded by 14 towns within a three-mile radius. The center serves a growing residential population of more than 100,000 people within a two-mile radius and a daytime population of more than 66,000 people within the same two miles. The marketplace offers a median household income of about $80,000.

Two retail spaces (1,200 SF and 4,000 SF) remain available at Summit Plaza.
