TEANECK, N.J., Feb. 1, 2010 - In honor of National Heart Month and Valentine's Day, Heritage Pointe of Teaneck, a full-service rental retirement community, will host a special chocolate making presentation and demonstration by Lucille Skroce, owner of Matisse Chocolatier of Englewood, N.J. on Monday, Feb. 15, at 2:30 p.m. Skroce will discuss the history of chocolate and how dark chocolate is good for you, followed by some interactive chocolate making with attendees. Area residents are invited to attend the presentation, which is free of charge.

Research has shown that a small amount of dark chocolate each day can help keep the heart healthy and the cardiovascular system running well. The best heart healthy effects from the antioxidants found in chocolate include the lowering of high blood pressure, as well as lowering bad cholesterol.

Heritage Pointe of Teaneck is located at 600 Frank W. Burr Blvd. in Teaneck. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to Heritage Pointe by calling (201) 836-9260. For more information on Heritage Pointe, visit www.RetireAtHeritage.com.
