NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., March 9, 2010 - During the 2009 gubernatorial campaign, candidate Chris Christie promised to end COAH and say "no" to state worker unions. In less than two months, now-Gov. Christie has made good on his promise to affect change in state government. He will discuss his administration's ongoing agenda in Trenton, including dealing with an unprecedented budget crisis, as the featured speaker at NAIOP New Jersey's Chapter Meeting on Thursday, March 25.
How does the Christie administration plan to replenish the depleted Transportation Trust Fund? What efforts are in the works aimed at improving New Jersey's business climate? What will be the impact of the proposed FY 2011 state budget on the business community? These questions and much more will be addressed in a far-ranging presentation by Gov. Christie.
Also on the program, the results of NAIOP New Jersey's initial Collegiate Real Estate Case Study Competition will be announced. Involving 30 students from the NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business, the competition was made possible by the sponsorship of Hartz Mountain Industries and a cash prize from Commercial Realty Group.
Slated for The Heldrich in New Brunswick, N.J., the event will begin with registration, networking and a buffet at 5:30, followed by the program at 6:30. To register or for more information, contact NAIOP New Jersey at (732) 729-9900 or http://www.njnaiop.org/.
