Sort 11,205 Pounds of Food for Distribution Throughout the State

HILLSIDE, N.J., Dec. 28, 2015 – Twenty-five Cushman & Wakefield employees volunteered at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) in Hillside, sorting nearly six tons of donated product. With facilities in Hillside and Egg Harbor Twp., CFBNJ feeds nearly one million people each year, according to Director of Volunteer Services Faye Kuhn.

Each bin sorted by the Cushman & Wakefield employees will ultimately produce 35 boxes of food, totaling 490 repacked boxes, with their combined 75 hours of service ultimately resulting in 11,025 pounds of food for distribution. In addition to their morning of volunteerism, the commercial real estate services firm’s employees also raised a total of $3,000 to fund the purchase of fresh produce and healthy foods for CFBNJ.

“We were thrilled to be able to make this contribution as a kick-off to the season of giving,” said Andrew Judd, Cushman & Wakefield’s New Jersey Market Leader. “It was a very fulfilling day of service, and we were able to build community and strengthen our newly unified teams from the legacy Cushman & Wakefield, DTZ and Massey Knakal organizations. Our volunteers were comprised of regional management, brokerage and service line professionals across all Cushman & Wakefield businesses.”
