COMPANY OVERVIEW
Integrated Business Systems (IBS) provides integrated real estate automation systems for commercial and residential real estate owners, developers and property managers. The IBS software addresses virtually all property management, accounting and construction management tasks. Reflecting three decades of development history, the system offers unparalleled functionality and audit-ability. IBS is well known for its superior product and unparalleled service. As a result, IBS' client list boasts more than 100 prominent real estate companies - including many of the industry's most elite organizations in the United States.
HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY
Chairman and Founder Robert Entin established IBS in 1979 with the mission to provide truly turnkey solutions. Today, the IBS product reflects several generations of technology and experience, as well as the team's deep and thorough understanding of the real estate business. IBS always has retained its original goals. By investing in the quality of its team and resources, and with input from clients, IBS has evolved to keep pace with the industry and changing technology. Every aspect of delivery - from hardware and customized software, to extensive on-site training, to service, support and ongoing system updates - is provided with an extraordinary level of care.
This ultimately guarantees installations that meet and exceed expectations, and the formation of long-term partnerships with clients. In fact, many of these relationships transcend that of vendor and user. A consortium of major real estate companies - including Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, Vornado Realty Trust, RXR Realty Corp., Jack Resnick & Sons Inc. and The Feil Organization - were involved in funding, developing and testing the overall functionality of IBS 10.0i, the latest, browser-enabled version of the IBS system.
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND ACCOUNTING SYSTEM
One of IBS' hallmarks lies in its remarkable flexibility. The company offers solutions for multi-user environments ranging from a few to hundreds of operators. During the course of development, IBS has paid special attention to designing a system that can be customized to the user's specific property management and accounting needs, while ensuring data integrity. As a result, the system can be configured in a myriad of ways that offers a variety of tailored formats while providing the same strong, reliable product across the board.
IBS has remained at the forefront of technological advances. To this end, the firm's pioneering IBS 10.0i is a browser-based version of the traditional IBS system. The product can be run as an Intranet within a firewall and corporate network, or over the Internet via an Application Service Provider (ASP) model. It has been designed so that it can be configured in a variety of ways, with as many systems and web servers as needed for the individual user. Its scalability can accommodate a relatively small client with one web server and one application server as well as large entities with clusters of servers. At the same time, because it can be deployed via an ASP, IBS 10.0i can also be run with no internal hardware by enterprises of all sizes.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Network Services
IBS' Network Services Department (NWS) was officially established in 1999 as an outgrowth of services offered to the existing IBS user base. The division provides consulting, installation and support for computer and networking technologies for diverse companies and industries, with systems ranging from individual workstations to enterprise-class communication services. Many IBS clients utilize NWS to assist with day-to-day management of the networking assets and frequently tap into the team's consulting services. Additionally, NWS has evolved significantly during the past few years to accommodate changing technologies and infrastructure requirements for a broad range of clients. Today, NWS reaches beyond commercial real estate to a diversified client group in both scale and industry. This includes attorneys, a warehousing firm, a vending machine company, an international fragrance manufacturer, a furniture retailer, a coffee supply house, a paper supplier, a high-end wallpaper firm and an interior landscaping organization.
Disaster Recovery
Business continuity planning (i.e. data redundancy and disaster recovery) has become a top priority for companies across the board, and IBS' involvement in providing services in this area continues to grow for both its Network Services and IBS System clients. IBS helps clients create customized business continuity plans that ensure they will be able to continue their operation at another location should their main office be damaged or destroyed by fire, flood or other emergency. Once the plan is in place, customers have the option to either take advantage of the IBS hosted data model or to maintain their own remote operating facility for systems backup. With the IBS model, any authorized employee with a PC and Internet can access mission-critical applications and data, which are stored at IBS through nightly backups.
