Bordered by 46 acres of natural woodlands within the protected Teaneck Creek Conservancy, yet convenient to all of the culture and recreation of Manhattan, Heritage Pointe offers spacious apartments, social and cultural activities, housekeeping, local transportation and fine dining. Services and Affiliations
As a result of recent partnerships with local health care providers, The Wellness Center at Heritage Pointe provides residents with a true continuum-of-care. Doctors, including cardiologists, internists and a pulmonologist, and nurses visit Heritage Pointe's Wellness office on a weekly-basis to meet with residents for health checkups and in-depth consultations. A home health care provider is also available to residents, assisting with on-going needs in the comfort of their own apartments. Education through a variety of wellness seminars and classes is also provided by visiting health care professionals.
Many residents at Heritage Pointe are individuals and couples from across Northern New Jersey who enjoy the independent carefree lifestyle offered at the community.
As more and more seniors are becoming interested in staying active and healthy, Heritage Pointe of Teaneck hosts numerous programs, which range from exercise classes to intellectual seminars. The community's activities program offers more than 100 social and recreational events each month, including off-site trips, dance lessons, Tai Chi, Yoga, movie matinees, trivia challenges, cultural events, weekly Spanish classes, computer tutorials and intergenerational programming.
Residential Apartments and Community Areas
Heritage Pointe of Teaneck offers spacious private apartments in a four-story building, featuring one-, two- and three-bedroom options and six different layouts. Decorator-designed model apartments are available for tours, showcasing the spacious walk-in closets, ceramic tile bathrooms, nine-foot ceilings, wall-to-wall carpeting and mini blinds. Full-sized appliances include an electric range, microwave, dishwasher, frost-free refrigerator/freezer and a stackable washer and dryer. Individual residents control their own heat and air conditioning.
As safety and security are often concerns of retirees and their families, Heritage Pointe offers a secure electronic building entry system, internally and externally monitored state-of-the-art alarm system, 24-hour concierge and three elevators. In addition to maintenance-free living, services include fine restaurant-style dining; housekeeping and flat linen service; scheduled transportation to nearby shops and appointments; professional home maintenance and landscaping; and a cable television package.
Maintenance-free living is the theme at Heritage Pointe of Teaneck. Beyond the apartment designs, an elegant lobby features a welcoming reception desk and adjacent plush furnishings situated around a fireplace lounge. Other community areas created for social and recreational enjoyment encompass the card and billiards room and a multi-use "gathering" room for events and activities. Residents also have access to an on-site exercise room and crafts rooms, computers with Internet access and a hair and nail salon. Outside, the community's serene surroundings are enjoyed by residents from an outdoor patio and abundant walking paths and sidewalks throughout the property's landscaped grounds. The neighboring Teaneck Creek Conservancy, also features more than 1.3 miles of easy hiking trails through restored forest and wetlands for resident enjoyment.
