National Massage Chain Leases 3,100 SF at Levin-Managed Center

WATCHUNG, N.J., Oct. 8, 2015 – National massage chain Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa has leased 3,100 square feet at Blue Star Shopping Center in Watchung. The 419,000-square-foot Somerset County shopping center is exclusively leased and managed by Levin Management of North Plainfield, N.J.

Levin’s Leasing Representative Marcia Minton negotiated the long-term lease. David Dunkleman of Soloff Retail represented the tenant.

“New Jersey is a very successful market for the Hand & Stone brand, and shops here typically are located in high-traffic strip malls and shopping centers,” said Minton. “Blue Star Shopping Center’s customer demographics, desirable co-tenancy and location were extremely attractive to this franchise owner. We’re excited to bring Hand & Stone’s convenient and affordable spa services to those who live and work in Watchung and the surrounding communities.”

One of the fastest-growing spa franchises in the country, value-oriented Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa offers professional massages – including Swedish, deep-tissue, sports massage and its signature hot stone massage – along with facial and hair removal services tailored to each customer’s individual needs and skin concerns.

Located on the heavily traveled Route 22 retail corridor, between Terrill and Bonnie Burn roads, Blue Star Shopping Center serves a growing residential population of more than 250,500 people within a five-mile radius. The marketplace offers an average household income of $138,500, and the daily traffic count is 60,000 vehicles. Anchored by Kohl’s, ShopRite, Toys ‘R’ Us, Marshalls and Michaels, the center’s impressive tenant lineup includes Tuesday Morning, Avenue, Becker Brothers, Dollar Tree, Petco, Hibachi Grill, Joyce Leslie, TGI Fridays, The Children’s Place, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, GameStop and GNC, among many others.
